Title
Human factors aspects of ICT for crisis management
Abstract
This paper provides a closer look at how to support humans in the crisis loop, based on a thorough understanding of the macrocognitive functions that have to be fulfilled, such as naturalistic decision making, sensemaking, coordination and communication, and planning and adaptation. The objectives of the paper are to review work to date—along with selected illustrative examples—in order to identify possible directions for future research.
