ESES/Cipher: A Design of XML Encryption System
Abstract
In these several years, Electronic Commerce has been rapidly expanding in many fields such as B2B, B2C and so on. However: there exist several problems preventing the electronic commerce fi-om spreading more widely and being used more frequently. One of these problems is a security problem, which brings that most e-commerce site visitors are reluctant to shop online. ESES/Cipher; which will be introduced in this paper; con be one approach to solve the problem, ESES/Cipher is a subsystem of ESES (ETRI Secure E-commerce Sen,ice) that has implemented to support security sen,ices such as authentication, integrity and confidentiality for Electronic Document Interchange. And ESES/Cipher provides a process for encrypting/decrypting a digital content and an XML syntax used to represent the encrypted content and information that enables an intended recipient to decrypt it. It also provides syntax of partial encryption and group access to it using a conference key.
