Applicationsbasedonplug-inarchitecturesareextensiblethroughthird- partiesandenablecustomizeduserenvironments.Wearguethatextensibilityand customizationareimportantfeaturesinenterpriseapplicationsoftware.Inan ongoingresearchprojectwearedevelopingaplug-inplatformin.NETforthe enterprisedomain.Targetingtheenterprisedomainraisesspecialrequirements withsecurity,reliabilityandversioning.Thispaperpresentsmodelsforhostand plug-inintegrationthataddressexecutionofplug-insinreliablesettingsand allowingindependentevolutionofcoreapplicationsandplug-insanditwillshow howthishasbeensolvedinaconsistentandtransparentwayinthe.NETplug-in framework.
