In a context of permanent change, Process Enterprises (PE) implement flexible mechanisms around processes that make them adequate platforms to deal with the emerging best of critical business problems. Processes are becoming cornerstones of business strategy, which place them among the most valuable assets of a company. However, transition to a PC should not be a traumatic experience. The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology and tools supporting e-management for accelerated change. The goal is, while boosting company effectiveness, to enable smooth and pleasant adaptation of enterprises and employees to change in objectives, strategy, culture, roles and career opportunities. Process Oriented Working Environment (POWER) architecture is proposed, with its architecture and man-machine interface. on which actors have their role and profile dynamically up-dated, as they progress through process completion. As a case study, a University, organized according to a very conservative model, is used as vehicle for ascertaining the proposed solutions. |
