A contemporary definition of the placement problem is characterized by multiple objectives. These objectives are : minimal area, routability, timing and possibly some others. This paper contains a description of the placement system bared on the fuzzy logic approach. Linguistic variables, their linguistic values arrd membership functions are dej%red. Fuzzy logic rules govern the placement process. Details of implementation and experimental results are provided. |
