Adaptive gain equalization on optical amplifiers based on the acousto-optic effect using a single long period grating
Abstract
A new method for a fast and fine control to flatten the gain of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) is presented. The method is based on the acousto-optic effect in Long Period Gratings (LPG).
