Transformations between bincodes and the DF-expression
Abstract
The spatial data structures, namely, bincodes and DF-expression, are well-known in the fields of computer graphics, geographical information systems, and image processing. In this paper, two O(n) time algorithms for transformations between bincodes and the DF-expression are presented, where n is the size of the DF-expression. Experimental results are included for a practical version. These experimental values confirm our theoretic results. In addition, the application to S-tree is also addressed.
