Title
An Ontological Study of the Correlation between Colors and Korean Color Terms
Abstract
The structures of current color ontologies are moreflat than hierarchical. However, we argue that colorterms should be structured hierarchically. We haveconducted psychological experiments on the mappingbetween colors and Korean color terms. Thecontinuous physical property of colors makes itimpossible for us to refer to “every color”. Thisproperty exerted a negative influence in proving areasonable account of colors. We found out that somecolor terms are more salient than others and suchsaliency has induced the hierarchical clusters
