We present an approach for the creation of visual languages through the use of a component framework The framework provides a platform for the creation of visual programming languages using a modular approach that abstracts the visual elements of the language as components. By creating self contained components, language designers can combine language elements within the framework to quick create and experiment new visual programming language designs. |
