Requirements engineering Is offered to post-graduates students at the faculty of Information Technology In the university of Technology, Sydney (31485 Systems Development). It Is a core subject In the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology and Graduate Diploma. This paper outlines the subject's objectives, the topics discussed, lecturing style and lecture format. The challenges encountered by the lecturer, tutors and students am also presented. Those encountered by students were extracted from a series of informal and formal surveys conducted at various Intervals during the semester. The paper also summarises the lessons learnt, the main aim being to highlight both successful practices and those, which can be Improved further. |
