Array of Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (Argo) is a new generation marine real-time observation system, it is a global array of 3,000 free-drifting profiling floats that will measure the temperature and salinity of the top 2km of the ocean. It greatly improves our understanding of the ocean's role in climate, as well as spawning an enormous range of valuable ocean applications. This paper provides the platform architecture to deal with Argo data querying and analyzing via internet. Visualization based GIS and massive data management based on Oracle are also introduced. |
