A growing number of Communicating Geographic Information Systems (CGIS) have been developed since geographic libraries for programming languages such as Java have been marketed. In order to facilitate the design of customised GIS applications a visual object oriented method named OMEGA has been introduced. It is based on visual extensions of UML. In this paper, an extended version of OMEGA is proposed to model distributed geographic systems. |
