Title
Designing for dynamic diversity: making accessible interfaces for older people
Abstract
ABSTRACT In this paper, we describe why designers need to look beyond the twin aims of designing for the ‘typical’ user and designing “prostheses”. Making accessible interfacesfor older people isa unique but manyfaceted challenge. Effective applicationsand interface design needsto addressthe dynamic diversityof the human species. We introduce a new design paradigm, Design for Dynamic Diversity, and a methodologyto assist its achievement, User Sensitive Inclusi Keywords Universal accessibility, design for all, HCI, Usability Engineering, Design for Dynamic Diversity, User Sensitive Inclusive Design
