Implementing the Digital Storage Media - Command and Control (DSM-CC) Standard in the Framework of an On-Line Service |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
Interactive Video Services require interoperable and open server structures. In this paper, a migration path is shown which augments an existing on-line service with broadband Services-on-Demand. The server structure is DAVIC-compliant in order to allow for the integration of different end-user equipment (Internet clients and DAVIC Set-Top-Boxes). The server-side implementation of DSM-CC is described and compared to a proprietary solution. |
