This paper presents a framework. for theme-based search engines. The framework mainly deals with automatically classifying user access patterns on the Web into general topics or themes by using data mining and distance based clustering techniques. The goal is to start with Proxy log files and end with themes that would describe user models, which in turn would be regarded as goals that could be given to future search agents or theme based search engines. |
