Title
Triaxial High Sensitivity MEMS Based System for the Detection and Characterization of Neurodegenerative Diseases
Abstract
The system presented in this paper aims to serve as a low cost tool for the detection and characterization of different neurodegenerative diseases by measuring the skeletal muscle movement in the patients麓 fingers. Conditions like Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, psychiatric diseases, alcoholism and drug abuse have specific movement frequencies which could be graphed. The system looks to make possible the identification of the disease mapped according to the characteristic graph, reducing the number of tests needed for this matter. Research focused, it aims to measure the disease's intensity and progress as well as the effect of medicine treatment and therapy.
