This paper presents our research on various sightseeing navigation systems aimed at people who enjoy casual sightseeing on foot. Most conventional navigation systems support efficient sightseeing by giving users detailed route information such as the shortest route. However, it cannot be said that this type of efficient sightseeing is appropriate in the case of casual sightseeing on foot. Accordingly, we designed various navigation systems based on the "Benefit of Inconvenience" to induce users to interact with their surrounding environment. As a result of multiple experiments, it was demonstrated that an inconvenient system is a useful element for sightseers. |
