In this work, we are interested in multiprocessor energy efficient systems where task durations are not known in advance but are known stochastically. More precisely we consider global scheduling algorithms for frame-based multiprocessor stochastic DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling) systems. Moreover we consider pro- cessors with a discrete set of available frequencies. We provide a global scheduling algorithm, and for- mally show that no deadline will ever be missed. Fur- thermore, we present simulations showing that we have an energy benefit in doing global scheduling instead of static partitioning. |
