Title
Development Of A Synthesis Tool For Gas-To-Liquid Complexes.
Abstract
Optimal synthesis of a Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) complex is complicated due to many degrees of freedom in a highly constrained design space. There are alternative, competing syngas manufacturing technologies on offer and different types of Fisher-Tropsch reactors, with numerous connectivity options and a range of operational conditions. On the other hand equipment, operational and knowledge constraints confine the design space. In addition, economic performance, such as NPV, needs to be aligned with carbon and energy efficiencies. To support GTL designs a computational synthesis tool is under continuous development and extension. The problem formulation, our approach to model development and validation and a sample result are presented.
