Aerial Color Image Segmentation by Karhunen-Loeve Transform
Abstract
The Karhunen-Loeve Transform (KLT) is used to performed region-based segmentation of aerial color images from color and texture features. A region-based segmentation method is developed in the KL color image representation space and Local Linear Transform (LLT) extends KLT to texture analysis. An algorithm to merge color and texture segmentations is presented in order to improve results.
