Title
Efficient Implementation Of Distributed Broadband Multimedia Information Services
Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for the efficient implementation of large scale distributed broadband multimedia information systems. The principle presented in this paper can be applied to a large number of different application scenarios. The technical basis is a novel network of media servers providing audio and video streams of high quality to a large number of widely distributed clients. The server network is managed by a distributed server management system presented in this paper. To provide media streams to widely distributed users intelligent caching and mirroring mechanisms are used that are based on user profiling and content classification.
