Integration of various fingerprint matching algorithm can improve the performance of a fingerprint verification system. In this paper, we propose a new framework that takes advantage of both minutiae and orientation field. There are two contributions in this scheme: firstly, we use orientation field that costs less computational expense than that of FingerCode with which has been proposed by Jain to integrate minutiae; secondly, D-S evidence theory, which can deal with the uncertainty between two matchers, is advanced to integrate two matchers. Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the performance of a fingerprint verification system. |
