Title
The Development of Interactive Texture Designing Method for 3D Shapes
Abstract
This paper introduces an interactive method to design intuitive and simple surface appearance of 3D computer graphics shapes. Texture mapping is widely used to improve the visual richness of 3D surfaces. Designing texture patterns can be a technique to search a pattern which is adequate for the target 3D shapes in the specific scene physically and psychologically. We apply Interactive Evolutionary Computation (IEC) framework to find the pleasant color texture pattern for 3D surfaces. This method generates multiple texture patterns obtained by various image processing and allows users to evaluate them sensitively.
