This paper proposes a receive antenna selection method for a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system with Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) switches and polarization antennas at receiver side, taking into consideration low computational complexity. The proposed method selects a suitable set of polarization antennas which gives lower correlation between received signals, larger received signal power and higher signal-to-interference-plus-noise power ratio (SINR), therefore, achieves a lower bit error rate (BER). We use measured channel data to evaluate the performance of the proposed method and show that the it works effectively for the realistic channel. |
