The paradigm of grid computing has been successfullyapplied in the domain of computationally-intensiveapplications supporting scientific research using server-classcomputers interconnected by wired network. Theusers of the existing and growing number of wireless mobiledevices often demand more computational power than theirdevices can currently provide. We propose using thecomputational grid paradigm to build a problem-solvingenvironment for wireless mobile devices. |
