Title
Design of a pH control system using fuzzy non-uniform grid scheduling and evolutionary programming
Abstract
A simple approach for controlling a pH neutralisation process has been developed in this paper. This method is applied to a weak acid–strong base neutralisation process. The objective of the control effort is to maintain the pH at a reference trajectory in the presence of severe load changes in the influent composition and/or flow rate. Experimental results are given, that demonstrates improved performance is achieved by the proposed controller. The implementation of this method has lead to a high performance pH controller, which has a simple structure and does not demand significant computing resources.
