Title
SNMP in the IPv6 context
Abstract
Monitoring networks is important for operations, management and security as well as for research and development. But with the rapid pace in which the network is evolving and newer protocols are emerging it is becoming a challenge to monitor the new generation networks. In this workwe describe the protocol implementation and deploymentissues that exist in monitoring IPv6 [14] networks using theInternet management protocol SNMP [10] and then discusssome of the measures taken to work around the issues.
