Over the past couple of years, event-based systems have appeared in many application domains, such as enterprise managementsystems, large-scale data dissemination, Internet applications, and autonomic computing. However, event-based-systems research has beenscattered across several conferences and workshops, making it hard to establish a single community of interested researchers andpractitioners. The Inaugural International Conference on Distributed Event-Based Systems will be held in Toronto in June 2007 to supportevent-based systems' growth. |
