This work is devoted to the problem of asynchronous multiuser delay acquisition and time varying channel tracking in DS-CDMA systems. A multiuser-LMS-like structure along with smoothing/prediction filters to improve tracking quality is suggested. A performance versus complexity analysis is conducted, in cdma2000 and WCDMA environments, over highly interesting settings including different data rates, channel types and mobile speeds. It has been concluded that the proposed multiuser LMS structure offers improvements compared with the correlator method. |
