This paper describes real-time fuzzy digital filter (RTFDF) concepts considering a description of fuzzy logic and adaptive
digital filter concepts with real-time properties: the basic characteristic operation of this kind of filters is known as
operation regions, knowing it as linguistic natural descriptions.
Illustratively, the system of output signals is classified with respect to the desired answer in linguistic natural form,
requiring establishment of the membership function set with respect to these for characterizing the linguistic description
in a computational sense; then, RTFDF needs a group of rules (this group is described in a mathematical sense by logic connectors
(IF.... THEN....).), to consult and to discriminate inside of the knowledge base, which in the present case was constructed
in a probabilistic manner.
A novel RTFDF description is evaluated in two senses: in the quality of the answer, considering natural languages, and the
interaction time restrictions, considering in both cases the adaptive properties. The basic results were described in this
document in a formal sense, using the set definitions developed in the papers referenced below without forgetting the Nyquist
and Shannon criteria to the convolution filter scheme. Fortunately, the basic concepts were illustrated showing an RTFDF simulation. |
