This paper develops a new scheme of multidimensional labeling of Bit-Interleaved Space-Time Coded Modulation with Iterative Decoding (BI-STCM-ID), characterized by a high value of asymptotic coding gain. The Binary Swithing Algorithm is used for optimization. The system with 16-QAM modulation, two transmit and two receive antennas with the Alamouti Space-Time Block Code (STBC) is considered. The error-free feedback (EF) analysis shows that the new multidimensional scheme is greatly advantageous over extensively studied two-dimensional (2-D) labeling maps. The Monte Carlo simulation and the EXIT chart analysis support the work, displaying the system performance in the "waterfall" region. |
