BPIMS-WS: A Service-Oriented Architecture for Trading Partners Integration
Abstract
The benefits of connecting businesses through Web-services- based trading exchanges are huge. These exchanges allowvarious companies to connect supply chains in various industriesor across industries, introducing new efficiencies and ways of buying, selling, and brokering products and services. Connecting businessesthrough Web-services-based trading exchanges give companiesthe ability to transact in ways that were never before possible. These exchanges help connect buyers to sellers and provide a shorterprocurement trading lifecycle. Having this account, in this work abusiness processes integration and monitoring system has been developed to automate, integrate and monitor many of the enterprisebusiness processes described as Web services without recurring tolarge investments in software development and deployment. The contribution of this work consists in a service-oriented architecturethat follows the SOAýs principles of improving economical benefitsof business collaborations.
