This paper proposes a Computer Assisted Language Learning(CALL) system, the English Brain Enhancement System, in which is applied the brain scientific principles of human language processing for effective English learning. It is designed to offer adaptive learning based on the cognitive abilities related human language processing. For this, the system has a cognitive diagnosis module which can measure five types of cognitive abilities through three tests. The results of this diagnosis are used to create dynamic learning scenarios for personalized learning services and to evaluate user’s performance in the learning module. This system is also designed for users to be able to create learning lists and share it simply with various functions based on open APIs. Additionally, through experiments, it shows that this system help students to learn English effectively as using more internal linguistics memory. |
