Abstract | ||

We present an efficient image processing architecture to compute, repeatedly over the pixels of an image, the mean inside a rectangular window. Thus, the local average grey levels are obtained. The designed pixel-oriented architecture has been systematically derived using techniques for synthesizing systolic arrays from recurrence equations. |
