Title
Knowledge-Based Design of Ergonomic Lighting for Underground Scenarios
Abstract
In this paper we present BUT, a knowledge based CAE-system for the planning of underground illumination in coal mines. The task is to find lighting configurations which are optimal from the ergonomic and economic point of view. The problem is that there is a huge number of possible configurations for lighting satisfying the ergonomie guidelines on underground illumination of coal mines. We present the architecture and main features of BUT, which derives possible solutions to this problem and restricts this set to a manageable set of ergonomically and economically acceptable or even optimal ones.
