Although much effort has been expended by researchersin trying to maintain a consistent beliefbase in formalizing commonsense reasoning,there is some evidence that the nature of commonsensereasoning itself brings inconsistencieswith it. I will outline a number of sources of suchinconsistencies, and discuss why they appear unavoidable. |
