Software Component Model for Network Processor Based System
Abstract
Network processor based system is a kind of realtime, resource-constrained and complex embedded system. Component technology is a promising approach to develop such system. We analyzed the computational model in fast data path of the network processor based system, and defined how component fits into this model. The proposed component model captures the hardware features of network processor, and it can be used to describe the functional composition, performance composition and behavior of final system.
