Preventing Denial of Service Attacks in Government E-Services Using a New Efficient Packet Filtering Technique |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
Flooding is one type of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, which can cause significant financial damages. This paper presents a new security approach which can be used to protect government critical systems against DoS flooding attacks. This approach uses a new packet filtering mechanism, called Token Filtering Technique. This technique offers high network client scalability and higher performance in packet filtering rate. |
