Several analytical performance models for Pipelined Circuit Switching (PCS) in k-ary n-cubes have been reported in literature over the recent years. However, the inherent asymmetry of the mesh topology renders derivation of an analytical model for this class of networks more challenging. This paper proposes the first analytical performance model for 2-D mesh networks employing PCS with virtual channels. Simulation results show that this model is able to predict message latency with a good degree of accuracy. |
