Title
Adaptive Self-Stabilizing Connection Control Scheme For Server-Based Networks
Abstract
In this note, an adaptive self-stabilizing connection control scheme for server-based networks is proposed. This scheme gradually limits the total number of connections allocated by the server so the response time of the network is fast when there is little load and remains tolerable when the load increases. Analysis shows that this scheme performs significantly better than one with a fixed limit on the number of connections. The analysis is also verified by computer simulation. Finally, we show that the scheme can be easily implemented on a commercially available server-based network.
