Title
An Optimization Approach to Identify the Best Sell Market
Abstract
One of the problems faced by agri producing farmer is to sell his final produce to maximize his profits. While he has a number of options, in terms of the markets where he can sell his produce, he is faced with a dilemma as to where to sell his produce. There are several factors that influence the choice of the market. Some of the parameters that determine the choice of market are the distance of the market from the farmers location, the type of produce, the transportation cost, the time taken to transport. The main contribution of this paper is (a) the formulation of the problem to identifying the best sell market as an optimization problem and (b) demonstrating the usefulness of the formulation on real data.
