Smart cards are a relatively modern application that greatly relies on RFID technology. The main purpose behind this paper is to present the main applications of smart cards within university settings. Many uses of smart cards were identified, with the top three being personal identification, book borrowing, and library access. Other applications, percentage of adoption of each, as well as a general look at students’ acceptance of the technology are also presented. |
