Linear solvers are one of the most computer resource consuming parts of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) applications. In this paper, the use of the ALWAN language as a tool for developing parallel/distributed SBS linear solvers is considered. The coordination language ALWAN can be treated as an additional layer, separating the application core from traditional communication environments, like PVM or MPI. Results of performance tests, comparing ALWAN based solver to two other implementations (PVM, CORBA), are also presented. |
