This paper presents a novel adaptive type-II hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme combined with interleaving rearrangement and constellation rearrangement, which is applicable for high data rate orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The proposed scheme utilizes the channel state information and rearranges both bits and symbols at each retransmission. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves system performance significantly. © 2005 IEEE. |
