Mobile network has become need of the hour to suit the requirement of day today technological advancements and their effective utilization. In this paper we have investigated the forward Error correction Techniques. This is basically utilized for enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of information transmitted over the wireless channel. In this paper basic principle of adding some redundancy to the data to be transmitted is adopted. Amongst so many technique of FEC coding Turbo codes are more commonly used today Turbo Code has been licensed on a worldwide basis to ST Microelectronics. Today’s the application field of turbo codes are growing. They are mainly used for spatial transmission. Performance of this new approach has been compared with the existing techniques and the outcome is as per the theoretical expectations. Results have shown reasonable improvement in the performance in transmitting the message compare with the existing ones. |
