Title
Supporting Rigorous Evolution of UML Models
Abstract
The Model Driven Architecture (MDA) initiativeformulated by the Object Management Group (OMG) isintended to support the development of software-intensivesystems through the transformation of models toexecutable components and applications. Techniques andtechnologies that support rigorous definition of modeltransformations are required to realize the MDA vision. In this paper, we describe a technique for specifyingpattern-based transformations of UML models consistingof class and interaction diagrams. The transformationspecifications can be used to support systematic andverifiable transformations of UML models.
