Process views are an emerging concept for coping with the increasing complexity of process models. We understand a process view as the result of specific transformations applied to a process model. In this paper we discuss concrete scenarios of process view transformations for providing assistance in business process management. We show how elementary patterns of view transformations can be combined to support the design, deployment, monitoring and analysis of business processes. The process views proposed in this paper are technology independent and can be applied to any process language which can be represented by a process graph, such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and Event-driven Process Chains (EPC). |
