This paper extends our previous timed industrial messaging service built over CORBA 2.x. It was directly issued from the IEC TASE.2 specification (aka ICCP), a companion standard of MMS, dedicated to the utility domain. The features we implemented are : periodic data exchanges (bloc 1), condition based data exchanges (bloc 2) and device control (bloc 5). This work presents our new prototype, based on the CORBA component model from CORBA 3.0. We describe the design of the different components. The prototype offers the same functions as our previous implementation. Performance are compared. We conclude with the two approach advantages and drawbacks. |
