Title
A Component-Oriented Approach For Enterprise-Devoted E-Commerce
Abstract
A novel approach for E-Commerce, consistent with principles such as robustness, _exibility, scalability, and openness is introduced. This approach, which aims at complying with enterprise requirements, is based on development and deployment of distributed components for dealing with business management and media management including media enhanced user interfaces. A business model in the form of Business Objects and a media model in the form of COMMOTION serve as the basis for the modeling aspects of this approach. A flexible mapping process takes care of interoperation between the two models.
