Title
Interleave-division-multiple-access based intercell interference cancellation for cellular OFDM system
Abstract
Intercell interference (ICI) has been shown to be a major performance limiting factor in cellular OFDM system such as LTE. In this paper we evaluate the ICI cancellation scheme in LTE downlink transmission. The interfering basestation (BS) are grouped into strong-interfering BSs (S-BS) and weak-interfering BS (W-BS). We assume the interleaving codes of the S-BS are known to the target user. The superposition of the interfering signals from W-BSs are considered as Gaussian noise while the interfering signal from S-BS are detected and suppressed based on the principles of the interleave-division-multiple-access (IDMA) scheme.
